Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Echo Show. The Amazon Devices group delivers delightfully unique Amazon experiences, giving customers instant access to everything, digital or physical. This team develops existing/proven system designs but also works towards disrupting traditional models of the wireless ecosystem and algorithms with an obsession to transform customer experience to the next level by doing whatever it takes. In this role, you will create world-class algorithms, software, and firmware to implement wireless features and connectivity solutions for Amazon's initiatives. You will incubate, design, simulate, and influence end-to-end wireless systems and architecture, including the selection of wireless chipsets. You will dive deep and take ownership of critical design issues involving algorithm/protocol design, multi-radio coexistence, antenna configuration, and overall system performance. Participation in design reviews for complex wireless systems, simulations, algorithms, and software development will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will interact with cross-functional engineering teams across the company and collaborate with silicon partners to define and optimize wireless hardware/software architecture and implementation. Additionally, you will address all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability, and help build robust methodology and processes to deliver technology to products.
