About the position

The Sr. Program Administrator at Rutgers University will serve as a labor education specialist within the Labor Education Action Research Network (LEARN). This role focuses on developing, leading, and facilitating labor education programming for working adults, union members, and labor relations professionals. The position involves designing non-credit programs, collaborating with various stakeholders, and utilizing data analytics to enhance engagement and program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead non-credit programs for working adults, union members, and labor relations professionals.
  • Collaborate with department heads, staff, and external partners to develop and deliver initiatives that raise awareness and engagement.
  • Analyze data and key performance indicators to drive decision-making and expand audience engagement.
  • Design, promote, and implement customized educational programs to meet client needs.
  • Provide supervision and oversight for student team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Five years of relevant professional experience in an administrative or similar function.
  • Instructional experience and understanding of union operations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teaching expertise with diverse methodologies for adult learners.
  • Basic digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Personal experience with worker or community organizing and collective bargaining.
  • Knowledge of and experience with worker organizations or worker centers.
  • Skills in graphic design software such as Canva and familiarity with social media platforms.
