About the position

As a Sr. Program Manager of Containment Operations at Rivian, you will oversee the execution of Field Service Actions to ensure the quality and safety of Rivian vehicles. This role involves collaboration with various departments including Quality, Field Service, Manufacturing, and Service Engineering to address vehicle concerns in the field. You will be responsible for problem-solving and maintaining Rivian's high standards of quality while managing multiple projects across different locations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the field action team with the end-to-end execution of Field Actions within a timely manner by collaborating with Quality, Reliability, Engineering and Legal.
  • Author and publish all internal and external communications relating to Field Service Actions.
  • Work closely with Service Engineering, Service Parts and Field Service to align on execution timelines and completion strategy.
  • Lead education of Field Service staff relating to Field Service Actions.
  • Assist with the operating and maintaining of reporting standards and guidelines related to regulatory compliance.
  • Understand and interpret standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Prepare, support, and maintain content for regulated submissions.
  • Support other cross-functional initiatives in accordance with industry requirements.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • 3+ years of Program Management experience supporting business strategy, operations, and customer success.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work in a strong cross functional environment.
  • Proven technical knowledge and ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of lemon law, and legislative bills that have a direct effect on After-Sales/Service, such as Right to Repair.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing / production environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Excel is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain complex problems to a vast audience.
  • Possesses passion to provide exceptional customer service and ownership experience.
  • Understanding of state and federally regulated agencies, such as DVSA, MOT, NHTSA, DOT, FMVSS, BAR, etc.; in addition to international standards.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Ability to stand or sit for 8-10 hours per day.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Excel is a plus.
