About the position

The Sr. Program Manager for Fraud Prevention and Payment Risk at Amazon is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to detect and prevent fraudulent activities in e-commerce transactions. This role focuses on enhancing systems and processes to minimize risk and maximize customer trust, while also evaluating new business opportunities. The position requires strong project management skills, stakeholder management, and a commitment to driving results in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Listen and understand Payment Risk strategy, identify potential fraud and misuse risks, and align BRP teams and investments to achieve growth and goals.
  • Lead projects for cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new features, services, products, or systems.
  • Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, and identify appropriate resources needed for projects.
  • Assemble the right project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop milestones and launch schedules for timely delivery.
  • Contribute cross-functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, and measure and report on project progress.
  • Develop and influence new ideas and approaches, establishing procedures that promote the adoption of solutions in complex environments.
  • Ensure effective controls are developed and maintained across the organization, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Partner with global process owners and site leaders to execute process improvement projects.
  • Build and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for investigation and quality assurance processes.
  • Drive weekly meetings to review metrics, identify root causes, and create action plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
