About the position

The Sr. Program Manager for IT Services at Amazon is responsible for managing the delivery of operational and strategic efforts within the IT support domain. This role involves coordinating cross-functional dependencies, driving program objectives, and implementing improvements that are measurable through metrics. The Sr. PM will work closely with business leaders to identify risks, make tradeoff decisions, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong partner relationships with stakeholders, understanding and guiding strategic alignment to business direction
• Create and manage project plans and program cadence reporting
• Develop strategies to improve operational efficiencies of program effort
• Deliver strategic and operational efforts end to end
• Manage program effort communications at both team level detail and communications to senior leadership

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
• Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
• Experience delivering service transitions
