About the position

The Sr. Program Manager will oversee projects focused on the development of KVM and Serial products, ensuring that new product development processes are effectively managed from conception to launch. This role is based onsite in Huntsville, AL, and involves coordinating activities across diverse teams to meet project goals within budget and time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing projects related to the design and manufacturing of new products, including software development.
• Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of designated new product development projects or strategic initiatives.
• Reviewing project charters, business cases, and requirements to determine time frames, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing projects.
• Confer with appropriate LOB offering management to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Establishing work plans and staffing for each phase of the project and arranging for assignment of project personnel.
• Directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
• 10 - 15 years' experience in a program management role, with an emphasis on new product software development.
• Experience leading diverse geographical teams with different cultures, languages, and backgrounds.
• Expertise in problem solving and decision making.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Agile Certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project management standards and practices.
• Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).

• Experience in critical infrastructure and data center technology.
• Familiarity with Vertiv's Core Principles and Strategic Priorities.
