About the position

The Sr. Program Manager for Labor Planning at Prime Video is responsible for leading the global labor planning and allocation strategy within a dynamic and rapidly growing environment. This role involves managing operational performance, detecting risks, and ensuring seamless content publishing. The manager will establish labor resource management mechanisms, analyze headcount data, and drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency in labor management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead labor planning and labor allocation
  • Create, maintain, and publish the global labor planning and allocation source of truth
  • Drive cross functional teams by defining strategies on headcount management best practices and processes
  • Deliver simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems including manual headcount management processes and resource demand planning
  • Define, report, and enhance global labor capacity status to surface continuous improvement opportunities and influence input driven enhancements
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
  • Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices in labor planning and allocation are shared across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated, transparent, and timely
  • Leverage Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) dataset to nurture ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for supply chain planning and execution
  • Conduct complex data analysis, and identify patterns and trends in headcount data

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in workforce or resource planning
  • 5+ years of cross-functional project delivery experience
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Professional experience using Excel and other data-tracking tools
  • Clear and effective verbal/written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Digital Supply Chain, Program Management or Program Management with large global organizations
  • Expertly gather, organize, interpret, and leverage data to tell a story and influence decision making among stakeholders and leadership
  • Advanced data visualization skills, including complex Excel queries, formulas, and pivot tables. Experience using Tableau or AWS QuickSight
  • Adept at learning and adopting new systems, tools, and technologies to build efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and marketing/business counterparts to deliver online products/services
  • Ability to understand customers and their behavior in order to drive new feature development
  • Must be able to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and effectively manage changing and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and end-to-end ownership to drive results, even with incomplete or imperfect data
  • Proven ability to operate independently in a fast paced, highly ambiguous, and global organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate difficult stakeholder interactions
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Master's degree
