About the position

This position is responsible for managing internal business projects and programs, coordinating with department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts to deliver products from design to completion. The role involves planning and directing project schedules and budgets, monitoring projects from inception to delivery, and overseeing the work of external vendors. The primary focus is on project and program management rather than specialized functional expertise, although technical team members may be involved.

Responsibilities

  • Manage internal business projects and programs involving cross-functional teams.
  • Plan and direct project schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor projects from inception through delivery.
  • Engage and oversee the work of external vendors.
  • Assign, direct, and monitor the work of system analysis and program staff.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to Program Managers in functional areas.
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers to analyze and transform needs into functional requirements.
  • Provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements to operational leaders.
  • Create business requirements documents, test plans, and user training materials.
  • Develop, define, and execute plans, schedules, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience.
  • PMP Certification (and/or comparable coursework).

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
  • ITIL Certification.
