About the position

The Senior Program Manager for Security Escalations at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for creating and delivering security outcomes that enhance the security posture for Amazon customers and builders. This role involves collaborating with security and engineering leaders to design initiatives that address customer security needs, while navigating ambiguity and defining strategic visions. The position requires effective communication and the ability to influence program and product roadmaps to achieve security objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support GSS M&A strategic planning and integration aligned with the organization's long-term vision.
  • Lead the creation, development, and implementation of GenAI governance for SMGS, coordinating with technical and compliance SMEs.
  • Own the SMGS Security Awareness, Education, and Communications development, building upon existing pilot programs.
  • Develop an expanded program targeting key security themes and learnings from security incidents across SMGS.
  • Serve as the doc bar raiser for Security Engineers and Data Scientists, leading the team's OP1, OP2, and RoB metrics reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
