About the position

The Senior Program Manager at POWER Engineers is responsible for leading and managing major electric power delivery projects across North America. This remote position requires a highly skilled individual to drive operational excellence in program and portfolio management services, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining strong client relationships. The role involves significant collaboration with various stakeholders and requires up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead medium to large programs achieving both Owner and POWER performance metrics.
  • Develop multiparty project team organization, including roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, oversee budgets, and participate in proposal preparation.
  • Manage risk-based project budget contingencies and track project risks and issues.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams and assist in personal development goals.
  • Monitor and meet required program metrics for financial success.
  • Establish and manage change management processes and lead project governance reviews.
  • Track project key performance indicators (KPI) and report project performance against baseline and KPI.
  • Manage full project lifecycle cost and schedule management, proficient in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Demonstrate program management skills including scheduling, budget analysis, and client marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or technology.
  • 15+ years of experience in project and program management.
  • 15+ years of experience in the Electric Utility/Power Delivery market.
  • Practical program/portfolio mobilization and execution experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience in developing and executing program strategies for large T&D programs.
  • Relevant electric utility contacts with a history of capturing utility projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Expert knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
