The Sr. Agile Program/Portfolio Manager will play a pivotal role in a major investment bank, focusing on the end-to-end planning and implementation of strategic initiatives. This position is designed for an individual who can manage and prioritize a portfolio of tactical projects while driving the Agile transformation across these projects. As the individual gains a deeper understanding of the organization, its products, and its stakeholders, they may also take on the role of Scrum of Scrum for selected projects, depending on the needs and their capabilities. In this role, the manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects, continuously monitoring project status, dependencies, and delivery progress. They will contribute to defining the roadmap for strategic initiatives and products, support the annual budgeting process, and provide financial management for the program and project portfolio. The manager will ensure the full adoption of tools such as Jira and Confluence, working closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate project delivery and remove any impediments that may arise. The Sr. Agile Program/Portfolio Manager will provide leadership through meaningful performance metrics and status reports derived from Jira dashboards and other tools. They will proactively identify risks, drive timely mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to management as necessary. Additionally, the manager will interface with the Corporate Technology central PMO and may assume the Scrum of Scrum role for scaled Agile projects. They will enable and support the transition from Waterfall to Agile SDLC methodologies, coaching developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and senior stakeholders in Agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile. The role also involves contributing to the definition and implementation of new key performance metrics and project reporting across the division, leveraging Confluence and SharePoint as primary collaboration tools. The manager will drive high-quality deliverables across the complete SDLC and coordinate audits as needed. Mentoring and coaching junior members of the PMO team will also be a key responsibility, ensuring the development of future leaders within the organization.
