The Senior Program/Project Manager/Application Development Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the Forecasting & Loan Programs at a Major Investment Bank. This position requires a strategic leader who can manage a complex program of work that spans multiple technology and finance teams. The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, the quantitative research team, and business users to interpret requirements and evaluate suitable solutions. This role involves organizing, presenting, and managing steering meetings with senior managers across the firm, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle. In addition to managing the program, the Senior Program/Project Manager will be responsible for developing comprehensive program plans and overseeing the execution of these plans across various stakeholders. A key aspect of this role is to foster a quality-based culture within the team, promoting end-to-end ownership capabilities and supporting the professional development of team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development within a finance or banking environment, coupled with broad information technology experience that includes an understanding of development tools, processes, and best practices for application delivery and project execution. The candidate will also need to demonstrate experience in leading Agile development teams and possess a solid understanding of the Financial Services Industry, particularly in Risk Management. The ability to manage matrix resources in a global organization is essential, as is the capability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, influence change, and solve problems in a timely manner.
