About the position

The Sr. Project Analyst for EMV Product Development is a seasoned professional responsible for managing and coordinating various projects within the finance sector, particularly focusing on EMV technology and card issuance processes. This role requires a deep understanding of project management principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
  • Assists with business case, reviews business requirements, gap analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Finalizes the project plan with stakeholders and tracks closely for successful project delivery.
  • Implements advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data requirements.
  • Meets with end users to understand business needs, write requirements, and obtain approvals.
  • Reviews Functional Requirements to ensure Technology meets end users' needs.
  • Prioritizes requirements and creates conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
  • Partners with Technology, Product, and Operations Management Teams to prioritize delivery of key projects.
  • Masters strategic business process modeling, traceability, and quality management techniques.
  • Leads a team of business analysts and testers to achieve on-time production delivery dates for system enhancements.
  • Collaborates with Technology on project delays, risk assessment, and mitigation plans.
  • Performs project status reporting to stakeholders and partners.
  • Prepares post-project MIS, lessons learned, and conducts continuous process improvement reviews.
  • Understands the bank environment and compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Works with regional and global teams to implement best standards across teams.
  • Ensures creation of program plan and charter benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
  • Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience managing or participating in projects and teams within the finance sector.
  • 2 years in a professional management role.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of EMV technology and card issuance process.
  • Experience working with 3rd parties including vendors and networks.
  • Process and project management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple long-term projects concurrently.
