About the position

The Sr. Project Architect/Manager at hi.arch.y llp is responsible for leading architectural design projects, managing teams, and ensuring successful project completion from predesign through construction. This role emphasizes a healthy work-play balance and workplace wellness, aligning with the firm's commitment to health and wellness design.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all aspects of architectural design, guiding and mentoring Junior Project Managers.
• Manage projects from predesign through the construction phase.
• Lead the team and sub-consultants to ensure project completion.
• Prepare and submit permit-ready sets to local jurisdictional authorities.
• Draft and prepare construction documents and graphics for project proposals.

Requirements

• Architecture License is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Efficiency in Word and Excel is necessary.
• 10+ years of experience working with an architectural design firm.
• Experience in managing multifamily residential, civic institutional, or commercial office architectural projects.
• Strong speaking, writing, and presentation skills are essential.
• Strong leadership skills to lead and mentor junior staff.

Nice-to-haves

• LEED AP and/or WELL AP certification is preferred.
• Hawaii Architecture License is preferred.
• Experience with Sketch-up is a plus.
• Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator is beneficial.
• Ability to use Microsoft Project for developing and managing complex project schedules.
