About the position

The Senior Project Engineer at Fufeng USA Incorporated will play a pivotal role in managing the U.S. manufacturing expansion project. This position involves overseeing facility design, managing third-party engineering consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with various regulations and standards throughout the construction process. The role requires collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and the project expansion team, both in the U.S. and China, to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Organize and aid in the design of the U.S. manufacturing expansion project.
• Manage construction activities and oversee third-party engineering consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations and standards.
• Evaluate and approve changes that impact the scope, budget, or schedule of the project.
• Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Act as a liaison between the company and vendors.
• Lead an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time and to specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required; Master's Degree is a plus.
• 15-20 years of related managerial project experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Relevant engineering experience in operations, project management, process design, and contractor supervision.
• Strong grasp of engineering disciplines, plant operations, and construction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient in computer skills including spreadsheet and project scheduling.

• Experience with greenfield construction versus plant line expansion.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
