About the position

As a Sr. Project Engineering Manager for Power Generation and Distribution at SNC, you will lead the technical execution and oversight of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) responsible for the development and modification of aircraft power systems. This role involves managing the entire product lifecycle, from design concept through integration and testing, while ensuring adherence to program and company processes. You will build and maintain customer relationships, manage direct reports, and oversee supplier interactions, all while driving innovative solutions and ensuring quality and safety across the technical team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical execution and oversight of the Power Generation and Distribution Integrated Product Team.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from design concept to integration and test activities.
  • Build and maintain customer technical relationships with key representatives and suppliers.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and support the engineering team in executing program design activities.
  • Create Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical specifications for multiple suppliers.
  • Direct the preparation of proposals, business plans, and specifications for potential pursuits.
  • Ensure program and company processes are adhered to for consistency, quality, and safety.
  • Oversee career development and performance management of direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, System Engineering or related technical discipline and typically 16 years of experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of program management, aviation, aerospace & defense, and engineering programs.
  • Prior experience leading a team of engineers and managing programs.
  • Extensive experience leading a multi-discipline design team on aircraft modification programs.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of managing cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to express technical concepts clearly to various audiences.
  • Earned Value Management experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Chief Engineer experience in Aircraft modification programs.
  • Experience with FAA Part 25 requirements and coordination of aircraft components and systems.
  • Experience with Aircraft Electrical Loads Analysis and power distribution designs.
  • Experience with Aircraft APU development and certification.
  • Experience with NC3 survivability requirements and design approaches.
  • Experience with technical risk identification and management.
