About the position

As a Senior Project Manager at our leading custom stone and tile general contracting company, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple high-profile projects. Our company specializes in high-end installations for 5-star hotels, casinos, and commercial high rises across the United States. With several multi-million dollar projects on the horizon, we are seeking an experienced project manager who can effectively manage the complexities of these ventures. Your responsibilities will encompass planning and executing a diverse range of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects are meticulously coordinated and aligned with our high standards of quality and efficiency. In this role, you will be part of a highly technical and diversified specialty construction company that values teamwork and creative management. You will be responsible for keeping track of supplies, balancing budgets, and collaborating closely with subcontractors to ensure that all regulations are met and necessary permits are acquired. You will oversee the Request for Proposals (RFPs) and the contracting process for architects, engineers, contractors, and other project consultants, leveraging your existing relationships with general contractors and suppliers to secure work. Your expertise in bidding and estimating projects will be crucial for the successful award of contracts. Additionally, you will track project schedules, monitor progress, and address any delays that may arise. Financial analysis will be a key component of your role, as you will need to keep project-specific economic models up to date and identify potential risks, developing mitigation strategies as necessary. You will also assist in preparing financial and market feasibility analyses for projects, ensuring that performance is monitored and evaluated against baseline financial models and estimated procurement and installation methods once the development program is established.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and overseeing a wide range of different construction projects from beginning to end.
  • Keeping track of supplies and balancing the budget.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors.
  • Ensuring all regulations are met and permits acquired.
  • Overseeing RFPs and contracting process for architects, engineers, contractors, and other project consultants.
  • Effectively leveraging existing GC and Supplier contacts to win work.
  • Bidding and estimating projects for award.
  • Tracking project schedules and monitoring progress and delays.
  • Managing financial analysis to keep project-specific economic models up to date.
  • Identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Assisting in preparing the financial and market feasibility analysis of projects.
  • Monitoring and evaluating project performance against baseline financial models and estimated procurement and installation methods.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager for a stone and tile subcontractor or self-performing general contractor.
  • Experience in the construction project management field, specifically in the stone/tile industry.
  • Proficiency in electronic construction administration software and electronic plan reading programs.
  • Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel and attend job walks as necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience overseeing up to $25 million in construction costs across multiple projects.
  • Experience within operations and leading a division.
  • High Rise Curtain Wall experience.
