The Senior Project Manager, Construction at the University of Miami is responsible for managing capital construction projects on the medical campuses, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from conception through design, permitting, and user occupancy.
• Direct and supervise construction staff, architects, engineers, and support personnel.
• Maintain accurate project budgets and schedules, ensuring quality management indicators are met.
• Coordinate with Florida's Agency for Healthcare Administration for project approvals.
• Prepare feasibility, constructability, and value engineering analyses for assigned projects.
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance with university standards and project goals.
• Develop project contracting and bid strategies, managing associated meetings.
• Generate monthly status reports incorporating updated schedules and cost projections.
• Assist users with securing necessary components for a 'turn-key' project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project management.
• Knowledge of business and management principles.
• Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
