About the position

The Sr. Data and Analytics Project Manager at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is responsible for leading and executing complex projects within the hospital and research domains. This role encompasses the full project life cycle, ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective outcomes while managing resources and engaging stakeholders. The position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements to deliver maximum business value.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project life cycle from planning through implementation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources for project execution.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and document results effectively.
  • Drive dynamic change management to adapt to evolving project requirements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience in clinical and non-clinical hospital operations.
  • 5+ years managing complex and high-risk projects in a business unit-facing role.
  • Proficiency in using Jira (Atlassian) or similar project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills within the healthcare domain.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with IT projects and familiarity with data governance and compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving project deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Advanced understanding of healthcare data systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Master's degree, such as an MBA in Information Systems or MHA.
  • Project management training and certification.
