The Senior Project Manager, under the direction of the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) Portfolio Manager, oversees the direction, implementation, execution, control, and management of enterprise-wide projects. This role involves researching and developing new concepts, ideas, and applications to align with the credit union's strategy and goals, accelerating business value. The Senior Project Manager drives and implements innovative solutions across the enterprise, partnering with various business and technical teams to deliver iterative business value and achieve strategic objectives. In this position, the Senior Project Manager will lead divisional or enterprise initiatives with moderate to high complexity. They will guide project teams and business/technical partners to deliver value and achieve business strategies. The role requires shaping programs/projects to deliver business value with shorter iterations, monitoring and incorporating industry, functional, or technology trends into programs, and developing communication strategies to secure commitment for project decisions. The Senior Project Manager will also define strategies for influencing decision-makers and overcoming resistance to change, guiding communities of practice and project forums to address ongoing professional needs. The Senior Project Manager will set project expectations and strategy, ensuring the development of change plans and financials. They will partner with teams to identify opportunities for reusable artifacts, lead teams to focus on business strategy, and prioritize based on value delivery. Additionally, they will manage ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and remove barriers within project teams, develop RFPs, analyze vendor responses, and make recommendations for improvements. This role also involves challenging and driving initiatives forward, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and resolve emerging business needs, and developing business solutions that align with the overall strategy while maintaining an understanding of relevant laws and regulations. Team leadership is a critical aspect of this role, as the Senior Project Manager will motivate and inspire teams to commit to shared purposes, promote team coordination, and create a collaborative environment. They will provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team members, coordinate and influence business prioritization to align with strategic goals, and engage stakeholders to define measurable business value and benefits. Finally, the Senior Project Manager will analyze project trends and make recommendations for adjustments and contingency plans.
