About the position

The Senior Project Manager at Pentair will lead and coordinate medium to large scale, technically complex New Product Development projects for the Pool New Product Development team. This role involves managing project activities from concept to post-release, ensuring that project goals are met within the approved scope, schedule, and budget. The position requires strong leadership, collaboration with senior experts, and a focus on process improvements to support business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium to large scale, technically complex New Product Development projects.
• Lead project teams from concept (ideation) to post-release using the company product launch process (stage-gate).
• Facilitate development brainstorming Kaizen events and post-launch activities for smooth transition into production.
• Provide input into process improvements and new operational plans in support of business strategies.
• Chair project meetings, update tasks, track budget, and resource progress on weekly schedule updates.
• Log issues, risks, lessons learned, and document contingency plans for all projects.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering or other technical discipline from an accredited institution; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
• 10+ years leading cross-functional project teams and programs aligned with strategic objectives.
• 5+ years of engineering design or manufacturing experience in a med-high volume production, product development environment.
• 5+ years managing project teams developing consumer products that may include hardware and embedded firmware, software, and apps.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with, developing, or managing the development of consumer mobile Apps (iOS/Android) related to hardware deployment.
• Knowledge and experience in product development processes (stage-gate, predictive, agile, and hybrid methods).
