About the position

The Sr. Project Manager at Mueller is responsible for overseeing project management tasks related to the transmission of clean drinking water. This role involves collaboration with various internal and external teams, ensuring customer requirements are met, and managing contract administration from project initiation to completion. The position is crucial in maintaining strong relationships with customers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams including Legal, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Trade Compliance, Order Entry, Field Services, and Purchasing.
  • Prepare submittals and re-submittals for approval.
  • Handle all project management tasks, customer requirements, contract administration, and customer service from beginning to completion of assigned projects.
  • Initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers in collaboration with Legal and Accounting.
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone and lead Zoom conference calls.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background, including specifications and bill of materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be customer-focused.
  • Timely decision-making skills and self-motivated.
  • Proven ability to multitask and handle multiple projects (50+ jobs).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Good technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to change priorities based on project demands.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with good problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, communications, technology, or a sales-related discipline.
  • Experience with mainframe programs such as JD Edwards (JDE).
