About the position
The Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects within the organization, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of project management methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum, as well as traditional Waterfall approaches. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project goals, develop detailed project plans, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle. In this position, the Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews. They will also be responsible for removing impediments that may hinder the team's progress and ensuring that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices. The role requires strong leadership skills to motivate and guide team members, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively convey project status and updates to stakeholders. Additionally, the Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master will be expected to mentor junior project managers and Scrum Masters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team. They will also be involved in risk management, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success. This position is critical to the organization’s ability to deliver high-quality projects that meet client expectations and drive business results.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to closure.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
- Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress against them.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders effectively.
- Identify and remove impediments to team progress.
- Mentor junior project managers and Scrum Masters.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with Waterfall project management methodologies.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a specific industry relevant to the company's projects.
- Additional certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster).
