About the position

The Sr Technical PM at T-Mobile plays a crucial role in the Technology Learning Experience within the National Operations Support team. This position focuses on developing and delivering training programs for technology teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the efficient execution of projects. The role emphasizes innovation, agile methodologies, and transparency, aiming to make a significant impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble key players and foster internal working relationships across the enterprise to encourage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Delegate project responsibilities and task interfaces, advising, motivating, and leading project work and resources.
  • Ensure timely activity, integration, and efficiency of technical support while coordinating resource use to meet requirements.
  • Question ambiguous responsibilities, handle conflicts early, and address unresolved issues.
  • Support technical solutions by ensuring all groups' responsibilities are included.
  • Facilitate the creation of the project charter and examine project-related technical documentation for completeness and distribution.
  • Ensure required document reviews and approvals according to company standards and processes.
  • Facilitate the creation of work breakdown structures and update project timelines/plans with actual and forecasted deliverables.
  • Analyze the validity of schedules submitted by outside parties and distribute them in various formats.
  • Supervise project progress, compare it to the baseline, and report progress against the schedule.
  • Document, acquire approval, and supervise all changes in project parameters.
  • Produce detailed reports and communicate project status to partners and sponsors.
  • Identify risks in projects and use validated PM techniques to assess and mitigate them.
  • Facilitate project risk reviews and document impacts on schedules of proposed changes.
  • Attend and/or host management and project team meetings to keep the team informed and progressing.
  • Close all project documentation upon completion or cessation and archive records for future projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in technical environments.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and project management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to analyze project schedules and manage deviations effectively.
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
