About the position

The Sr Project Manager will specialize in greenfield operations, manufacturing building moves, flow optimization, Lean principles, and process improvement. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and enhancing processes within new and existing facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, develop timelines, allocate resources, and manage budgets, while demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and clarity of project goals.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Lead the planning and execution of building moves, including equipment relocation and logistical coordination.
• Develop move plans, schedules, and contingency plans to minimize disruption to operations.
• Conduct post-move evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage all aspects of new building launches, from site selection to occupancy.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure timely completion of building construction and infrastructure setup.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.S.) plus ten years of project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the metal stamping and fabrication field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a focus on building moves, new building launches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or similar software.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).

Nice-to-haves

• Masters and PMP Certification preferred.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems such as Syteline, Oracle, and SAP.
