About the position

The Sr Python Developer - Network Automation role focuses on leveraging Python programming skills to implement network automation solutions within telecom environments. The position requires a strong background in telecom protocols and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement network automation solutions using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network management processes.
• Utilize libraries and frameworks such as Netmiko, Nornir, PyATS, and Napalm for automation tasks.
• Manage and troubleshoot network management protocols including SNMP, NETCONF, and RESTCONF.
• Work with telecom hardware and software platforms to ensure compatibility and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Python development, specifically in network automation.
• Strong experience in telecom environments and knowledge of core telecom network protocols.
• Proven track record of implementing network automation solutions at scale in telecom or ISP environments.
• Proficiency in Python programming with emphasis on network automation libraries and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with network management protocols (SNMP, NETCONF, RESTCONF).
• Knowledge of network protocols such as MPLS, BGP, and OSPF.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins and Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with additional programming languages or automation tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-based network solutions.
• Knowledge of security protocols in network automation.
