About the position

The Sr. Python Developer with AWS position at CGI is a senior-level role focused on developing and supporting large-scale enterprise applications in a fast-paced, agile environment. The role requires expertise in Python and AWS, with responsibilities spanning the full application lifecycle, including design, development, and deployment. The position offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility while maintaining a strong collaboration with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain large-scale enterprise applications using Python and AWS services.
• Write conceptual and detailed design documents for application development.
• Participate in the full life cycle of application/system development.
• Collaborate in an agile environment using methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban.
• Utilize AWS services including Lambda, S3, and EC2 in application development.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage source code control using Git and Bitbucket.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Python development, including Pyspark and AWS SDK Libraries.
• Strong experience with SQL and AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and RDS.
• Proficiency in using Git, Terraform, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in writing unit tests and application builds.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with shell scripting and AWS CLI executions.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization basics.
