About the position

The Sr Python Developer role is designed for an experienced professional with over 10 years of expertise in Python application programming. The position focuses on developing back-end services, including REST APIs and data processing pipelines, while participating in architectural and design discussions within an Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a technology-agnostic approach to development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications using Django and Flask.
• Create REST APIs for front-end integration and data manipulation.
• Design and implement message intake and processing pipelines.
• Participate in architectural and design discussions for product development.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams to execute projects effectively.
• Utilize SQL, PostGres, and Snowflake for database management.
• Implement CI/CD methodologies in development processes.
• Handle complex projects with hands-on involvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Python application programming.
• In-depth knowledge of Django and Flask frameworks.
• Experience with Django REST framework or similar for building Web APIs.
• Strong SQL knowledge, particularly with PostGres and Snowflake.
• Good understanding of AWS concepts and services.
• Experience with CI/CD DevOps methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with multithreading concepts and Asyncio.
• Familiarity with gRPC and Python microservices concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Cloud App services, Load Balancer, and Application Gateway.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and in-memory databases.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD using Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
