About the position

The Sr Python Engineer with DevOps role is focused on developing and maintaining cloud-based solutions, primarily in AWS, while driving automation and implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. The position requires a strong background in Python programming and DevOps practices, with a significant emphasis on development tasks over operational support.

Responsibilities

• Drive automation, scripting, machine learning, and self-healing SRE principles.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance around DevOps best practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual validation efforts and drive zero touch automation and self-healing.
• Develop proactive automated monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Splunk and New Relic.
• Utilize REST APIs effectively in development and operational tasks.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of cloud-based solutions and services, preferably in AWS.
• Proficient knowledge of common DevOps tools such as Git/Github, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Experience with Python programming and familiarity with NodeJS, React JS, and Java.
• Experience with DynamoDB and AWS services, particularly EC2.
• Production support experience is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Angular and other front-end technologies.
• Experience in machine learning applications.
