About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sr. QA Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, experience working in an Agile environment, and proficiency in using JIRA for tracking and managing defects. This role involves collaborating closely with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software releases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to ensure the quality of software products.
  • Work within an Agile development framework, actively participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to ensure QA activities are integrated into the development process.
  • Use JIRA to track, report, and manage bugs throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and thorough documentation.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing across various platforms and environments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing where applicable, ensuring scalability and efficiency in test execution.
  • Partner with developers to understand the technical architecture of the application, provide timely feedback on defects, and work together on resolving issues.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, such as defect rates, test coverage, and overall product stability.
  • Identify areas for process improvements within QA and work towards implementing best practices that enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the development process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years as a QA Analyst or similar role in software testing, with hands-on experience working in Agile environments.
  • Proficiency in JIRA for bug tracking and test management; familiarity with Confluence or similar tools for documentation is a plus.
  • Strong experience in manual testing and exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile teams, including knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Understanding of basic programming concepts, software development processes, and test automation frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate test results and quality concerns to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Confluence or similar tools for documentation.
