About the position

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst role is a long-term contract position based in Richmond, VA, requiring a hybrid work model with three days onsite each week. The position focuses on both manual and automated testing, with a preference for candidates experienced in mobile testing within an enterprise environment. The role emphasizes collaboration across multiple teams and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive requirements analysis and develop test scenarios.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements to test cases and results, managing entrance/exit criteria effectively.
• Develop, set up, and execute both manual and automated test scripts.
• Manage test outcomes, including logging and recording results.
• Identify and manage risks to testing schedules, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Communicate issues, hindrances, and blockers impacting testing, adhering to company and industry best practices.
• Regularly report on test execution progress and status.
• Manage defect detection, analysis, logging, and retesting.
• Maintain and manage test script libraries.
• Provide support and recommendations to UAT Leads on testing techniques and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent area of study
• Minimum of 8 years in roles such as Test Analyst or Quality Assurance Analyst in an Agile environment
• At least 5 years of experience leading tests on large-scale production n-tier systems
• Proficiency in UiPath, Oracle SQL, MongoDB, and Java Spring application architecture (non-developer)
• Strong SQL skills in both relational (Oracle) and non-relational (MongoDB) database environments
• Experience in Backend API Automation using Java
• Experience with TDD, SOA, Confluent Cloud, Kafka, and cloud computing architectures
• Familiarity with integrating automated testing into a CI/CD pipeline and mobile application testing
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps services, including Test Plans
• Experience with manual and automated testing of Client Server and Web Applications
