About the position

The Sr QA Automation Test Engineer at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality automated test scenarios using advanced automation tools. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business needs and ensuring the quality of applications through effective testing practices. The position supports a flexible hybrid work model, allowing for a balance between in-office collaboration and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Integrate AccelQ with CI/CD pipelines, crafting new infrastructure to support the testing environment.
• Migrate existing test plans and frameworks to AccelQ.
• Manage testing for several applications, including bank websites and security applications.
• Establish a new testing practice and transition from manual testing to automated testing.
• Design and implement an automated regression test infrastructure for comprehensive testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test plans using AccelQ for various testing types.
• Regularly communicate progress, results, and project status to partners.
• Evaluate and improve test automation strategies and frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience with AccelQ or other automated testing platforms in an enterprise environment.
• 2+ years of experience implementing automated testing for AWS-hosted custom solutions.
• Understanding of the Agile software testing process and lifecycle.
• Experience using AccelQ and GitLab for automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications in production.
• Solid understanding of design patterns and frameworks.
• Familiarity with software security principles and defensive coding.

Nice-to-haves

• Solid understanding of Git repositories and automated deployments.
• Experience with UiPath and/or other RPA tools.
