About the position

The Sr QA Tester/Engineer role is focused on ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications through rigorous testing processes. This position requires a deep understanding of the software implementation lifecycle and the ability to develop testing frameworks from scratch. The role involves collaboration with project teams to establish testing standards and procedures, ensuring timely delivery of testing efforts, and driving education on testing methodologies across product and application teams.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
• Responsible for system integration testing of newly developed or enhanced applications.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle.
• Possesses good Testing Process knowledge and a detailed understanding of AGILE methodology.
• Works with project teams during early stages to establish plans, standards, and procedures that will add value to the testing effort and satisfy the constraints of the project.
• Experience in developing framework from scratch.
• Ensures on-time delivery of work including monitoring of external and internal dependencies, tracking of progress, and monitoring of project milestones accomplishments.
• Developing estimates to support new and existing projects.
• Recording work status information and generating status reports.
• Tracking and reporting actual versus planned completion.
• Ensuring all activity is accurately recorded and reported.
• Drives the education of Product and Application teams on the testing model, methodology, and processes, particularly end-to-end testing, and its role in quality assurance.
• Demonstrates Leadership characteristics while handling Product, Development, EAS, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrates proficiencies in Project and Quality management, Issue management, and Communication.
• Monitors adherence to quality standards during the testing of production applications, identifies areas of strengths and weakness.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and communicates to the project coordinator.
• Experience with Jira and ALM.

Requirements

• Excellent designing and programming skills.
• Experience in programming and testing.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the assigned applications/systems.
• Good knowledge of Programming languages like Java, Python, Selenium and process management methodology.
• Experience in writing, monitoring, executing and/or evaluating functional application tests using industry standard automated testing tools like Selenium.
• Coordinates end-to-end and automated testing efforts with internal and external interfaces.
• Ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
