About the position

The Senior Radiologic Technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the operation of x-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging. This role includes mentoring and providing oversight in the absence of a supervisor, ensuring that all procedures are performed safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and technical expertise in the operation of x-ray equipment for diagnostic imaging.
• Mentor and oversee the radiologic technology area in the absence of a supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards in the use of ionizing radiation equipment.
• Maintain and operate image processing equipment and other related clinical equipment.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED; must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program.
• Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Licensed by Texas Medical Board).
• Certified Rad Tech Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Current CPR certification from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
• Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, including public speaking and writing/composing reports.
• Analytical abilities and knowledge of medical terminology.
