About the position

The Sr. React Developer will join the Digital Manufacturing division of a large pharmaceutical client, focusing on the Data Historian and Energy Reliability Initiatives. This role involves transitioning existing IoT solutions to a new React development environment, requiring senior-level expertise in React. The developer will work on a pilot prototype for a new interface aimed at enhancing energy management through a centralized SQL database, making PVC offerings more accessible and visually appealing to end users. The position is remote, preferably for candidates in the EST time zone, and involves collaboration with a global team, requiring leadership skills and active participation in discussions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a new interface using React for energy management applications.
• Collaborate with designers and team members to create visually appealing front-end solutions.
• Participate in weekly discussions and stand-up meetings, providing recommendations for the prototype pilot.
• Connect front-end applications to SQL databases, ensuring seamless data integration.
• Lead the development efforts in transitioning from decentralized solutions to a centralized application.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, ORM Tools, and Cloud technologies.
• Experience with Java Microservices architecture and deploying microservices in distributed systems.
• Proficient in SOA and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries and experience with databases like PostgreSQL / SQL Server.
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Gitlab or SVN.
• Experience in agile delivery and tools like Jira.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of deploying applications in AWS Cloud using Jenkins and Docker.
• Experience in Pharma and/or Digital Manufacturing sectors.
