About the position

Vaco is seeking a Senior React/GO Developer for a direct hire opportunity in Northern Cincinnati. This hybrid position requires candidates to have strong experience in React and Java, with a willingness to learn Golang. The role involves supporting various tools and systems to enable the client's business goals and competitive advantages, while actively participating in the design and implementation of solutions as part of an agile team.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Scrum team, focusing on building robust web applications and micro-services using Go, JavaScript, React, Oracle Databases, MySQL Databases, and other technologies as required.
• Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and other team members to design new applications and modifications to current applications.
• Collaborate with the team and broader IT organization in introducing, architecting, and advancing our automation practice(s) focusing on testing, building, and deployment.
• Lead and advise the evaluation and recommendation(s) of application software packages, application integration, testing tools, and full-stack technologies.

Requirements

• Comprehensive and demonstrable full-stack software development skills and experience utilizing modern and open-source technologies to build enterprise business applications (React & Go preferred).
• Candidates without Golang experience will be considered as long as they have strong React skills coupled with Java and the willingness to expand their knowledge and skills in Golang.
• Extensive SQL experience and expertise (PL/SQL and Oracle technologies preferred).
• Must be comfortable working in and managing multiple system environments (Linux & Windows).
• Capability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in software development serving a variety of roles.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent technical field and/or equivalent demonstrable experience in an enterprise level professional setting.
• Proven ability to be flexible and motivated, work well both independently and as part of a team, and possessing the passion and aptitude for technical leadership.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other application development areas to define standards and manage change.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals with varying levels of technical understanding and varying skillsets.
• Exposure and professional experience with deploying modern web applications utilizing containers (Docker) and cloud technologies (AWS).
• Must reside in the Greater Cincinnati Area and be comfortable with regular, hybrid work.
