The Sr. React UI Developer is a contract role focused on front-end development for a large oil and gas company located in Houston. This position requires a strong background in ReactJS and related technologies, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality user interfaces. The role is onsite, requiring daily presence at the office, and is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in software engineering and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user interfaces using ReactJS and related technologies.
• Collaborate with UX designers to implement design aesthetics and improve user experience.
• Write unit and system tests using Jest or equivalent frameworks to ensure code quality.
• Participate in the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment.
• Work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to communicate project requirements and updates.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Extensive commercial experience with React and JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with React/JavaScript based unit and system test frameworks, such as Jest.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with NodeJS.
• Strong experience with relational and non-relational database technologies, such as DynamoDB and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
