About the position

The position involves ensuring compliance with reinsurance agreements and managing various work streams related to reinsurance operations. The role emphasizes collaboration, effective communication, and problem-solving to support the organization's goals and client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reinsurance agreements meet internal and external requirements for Treaty, Facultative, and Captive Set up/Profiling.
  • Identify and calculate reinsurance needs.
  • Process and reconcile financial data related to reinsurance.
  • Maintain accurate reinsurance reporting and record keeping.
  • Deliver work in accordance with Standard Work and Service Level agreements.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across the organization.
  • Handle escalated issues and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Escalate IT-related issues impacting workflow and production.
  • Provide training and technical expertise to less experienced staff.
  • Implement assigned projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS preferred).
  • 3-5 years of relevant (re)insurance experience.
  • Experience in Reinsurance Operations.
  • ARe, AINS, CPCU or similar designation is a plus.
  • Mid to advanced working knowledge of reinsurance operations (QS/XOL, Treaty/Fac).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SmartSheets, ImageRight, PowerBI, and other insurance platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Policy Decisions, PolicyWriter, or similar insurance platforms.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $70,000 - $82,000/year.
  • Incentive eligibility based on performance.
  • Potential for total compensation to include short and long-term incentives.
