About the position

The Sales Representative is responsible for performing outbound sales calls, including cold-calling, lead follow-up, and sales qualification, to develop a portfolio of buying customers while meeting or exceeding quotas. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets across various transportation modes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outbound sales calls including cold-calling and lead follow-up.
  • Develop a portfolio of buying customers while meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Generate, evaluate, and penetrate leads to capture new business.
  • Maintain a full pipeline of opportunities.
  • Update customer relationship management tool routinely on activities, leads, and follow-ups.
  • Meet and exceed minimum KPI requirements such as new revenue growth and sales calls.
  • Provide exceptional customer experience for new accounts.
  • Ensure customer KPIs, contractual requirements, and service expectations are met.
  • Challenge the status quo with effective solutions to achieve branch sales goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior sales members to create a high-performance sales culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years prior sales, customer service, and/or logistics experience, with knowledge of transportation and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management tools, such as Salesforce.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop alternatives.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated effective customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to perform accurately.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Familiarity with sales metrics and performance indicators.
