Responsibilities

• Query relational databases to create datasets for research.
• Communicate with study teams to collect requirements and validate results.
• Peer review other analysts' work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Develop technical infrastructure to support research informatics.
• Consult with study teams about research pathways.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to healthcare or information technology or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of professional experience querying, analyzing, and wrangling biomedical data using SQL.
• Ability to manipulate tables to curate datasets without referencing technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated competence in organizing complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to independently lead all aspects of a complex data request.

Nice-to-haves

• Epic certifications relevant to clinical reporting (Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, Cosmos).
• Professional experience using non-SQL programming languages (i.e. Python, R).
• Experience with big healthcare data (i.e. EHR, insurance claims).
• Experience supporting clinical research teams.
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis in clinical research.
