About the position

The Senior Research & Insights Strategist at Edward Jones plays a crucial role in ensuring that experiences are evidence-based, effective, and user-friendly for colleagues and branch teams. This position involves identifying and solving complex problems through research and insights, collaborating with senior leaders to enhance the use of evidence in firm strategies, and integrating complex strategies across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting on the successful execution of division and enterprise efforts leveraging the expertise of subject-matter experts, interpersonal skills, and professional expertise.
  • Build a clear integration plan for business leaders across the firm to ensure data and insights are successfully implemented within and across divisions.
  • Work effectively in a matrixed organization and support the leadership of the team.
  • Identify, direct and coordinate resources (people, systems, tools) with guidance from leaders.
  • Apply a detailed understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and sampling designs to make recommendations to senior leaders on research approach.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary research teams (comprised of 5+ people and disciplines) to address complex division and department business questions.
  • Understand, analyze, and recommend various research methodologies (both qualitative and quantitative) to address business issues.
  • Communicate outcomes of research findings in a compelling/concise way and in a manner appropriate for the specific audience (including senior leadership teams).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of consulting and/or business development experience is a plus.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Senior level presentation and communication skills.
  • Broad knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and sampling designs.
  • Ability to assist in the interpretation of research results and succinctly summarize them to provide insights for the firm.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
