About the position

Strava is the app for active people. With over 150 million athletes in more than 190 countries, it’s more than tracking workouts—it’s where connection, motivation, and personal bests thrive. No matter your activity, gear, or goals, Strava’s got you covered. Find your crew, crush your milestones, and keep moving forward. Start your journey with Strava today. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role will be an integral part of bringing the vision of what the Strava product can be for athletes through driving strategic company-wide efforts, catalyzing and enabling scale and footprint expansions, and preparing for public-company readiness. As our first dedicated Revenue Operations hire, you will collaborate across the company to help scale Strava for Business (SfB). You will be responsible for delivering operational excellence in the end-to-end process of order management, from the time an order is received until the cash is applied, including: billing, credit, deductions and collections processes. This role is highly cross functional and will work closely with Partner Managers and Account Managers on our Partnerships Team. We follow a flexible hybrid model that generally translates to around half your time on-site in our San Francisco, CA office —roughly three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end to end order-to-cash processes, including order management, billing, credit, deductions, cash application and collections, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead, prepare and manage aspects of the monthly close activities, including: preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations and flux analysis.
  • Monitor the credit management process, including: customer credit checks, credit limits, and credit holds, to minimize financial risk.
  • Drive the collections strategy to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Identify and scale processes to improve efficiencies and support our rapidly growing SfB revenue including: system & process design and implementation of a billing automation system.
  • Facilitate and support audits through the delivery of records and documentation to external auditors, as required.
  • Serve as a key resource for FP&A and Controllership to deliver relevant, timely, and accurate financial data and metrics to enable operational efficiency.
  • Be part of a public readiness journey from late-stage private to public including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, related field, or combination of professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in revenue operations (order-to-cash) or a similar finance role.
  • Proven ability to manage and understand US GAAP and order-to-cash processes.
  • Experience in subscription billing processes, invoicing, and collections strategies.
  • Prior experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System such as NetSuite or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and continuously optimize order-to-cash processes, as well as internal controls, aimed at balancing operational risk, quality, and increased efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated strength with analytical and problem-solving skills, including advanced ability to analyze and present data.
  • Proven ability to maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Benefits

  • Market-based approach to pay.
  • Salary range: $91,000 - $110,000.
  • Equity and benefits information available during the hiring process.
