About the position
The Sr. Risk Manager Data Management role within the PXT Employee Onboarding & Administration (EOA) team at Amazon focuses on ensuring compliance and managing risks associated with employee onboarding documents and files. This position involves collaborating with various teams to integrate compliance requirements into new products and features, while also evaluating risks and recommending improvements to document management processes.
Responsibilities
- Proactive engagement with data management, product, and tech teams to provide document risk/compliance inputs early in the product lifecycle.
- Use EOA Mechanisms to identify and recommend document compliance requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with global legal teams to determine compliance requirements and work with product and tech owners to interpret these requirements.
- Develop strategies for identifying, assessing, and mitigating high priority document and employee file compliance gaps and risks.
- Research complex business issues, understand legal requirements, and advise leadership with clear benefits and risks tradeoff analysis.
- Build trust and strong working relationships with EOA leaders, Labor & Employment Legal, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary data management risk and compliance point of contact for key EOA teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing standards, policies and programs or equivalent
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
