About the position

The Sr. Robotics Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon Robotics is responsible for delivering data-driven insights and solutions to enhance robotic technologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze and improve the performance of robotic automation technologies throughout their development phases. The engineer will utilize data engineering, statistics, and data visualization to influence decision-making and drive improvements in robotic architecture and design.

Responsibilities

• Support Amazon's robotic technologies through their Alpha, Beta, and General Availability phases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, program managers, and leaders to deliver projects aimed at improving robotic automation technology performance.
• Use unified and disparate data sources to uncover insights through analytics white-papers and automated data visualizations.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Program Managers to define and deliver analytics tools and insights.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience with information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining.
• Experience with design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling.
• Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions.
• Knowledge in using AWS tools and writing/optimizing SQL for large datasets.
