As a Senior Robotics Engineer at FORTNA, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced robotic material handling products within our ML/AI/Robotics group. This position is crucial for collaborating within your group and with cross-functional teams to create cutting-edge solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the evolution of our robotics platform, enhancing its performance, reliability, and scalability. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating on the design and development of robotic systems from concept to deployment. You will conduct feasibility studies and develop prototypes to validate design concepts, ensuring that the solutions we provide are not only innovative but also practical and effective. Implementing software algorithms and configurations for perception, navigation, and control of robotic platforms will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also optimize robotic performance through simulation, testing (both in the lab and at customer sites), and iteration, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering teams to integrate subsystems into complete robotic systems.
