About the position

The Sr. Sales Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role within the Sales Compensation team at Intuitive, focusing on the implementation and administration of incentive compensation plans for the commercial sales team. This position involves detailed analysis of compensation performance, requiring strong statistical skills and the ability to manage large data sets. The analyst will work closely with various teams to ensure accurate compensation reporting and assist in the design of compensation plans that drive business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, implementation, communication, and administration of sales compensation and incentive programs.
  • Develop tools and dashboards to communicate compensation performance.
  • Create and standardize Sales Compensation Reporting Packages; automate reporting tools globally.
  • Monitor and evaluate compensation results relative to sales performance.
  • Identify and resolve problems affecting reporting, payroll, and forecasting processes.
  • Interact with Sales Operations, Commissions, Finance, and other teams to ensure data accuracy for compensation establishment.
  • Assist with quarterly quota resolution processes, including compensation impact examination and dashboard maintenance.
  • Use statistical skills to verify insights related to compensation performance.
  • Assist senior leadership in compensation plan design.
  • Partner with Sales Compensation team members and Sales Operations to solve compensation-related business problems.
  • Provide guidance and training to sales teams on commission plan structures and reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in a Sales Operations Analytics or Finance Analytics role.
  • Proven critical thinking, technical and statistical skills; confidence with deep scenario analyses.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Process Improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Tableau, SQL, and data analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce.com).
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of Incentive Systems, financial systems, and business application databases.
  • Business acumen around sales compensation and performance assessment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years in Sales Compensation Analytics.
  • Experience with Incentive Compensation Systems.
