About the position

The Sr. Sales Development Representative is responsible for prospecting and identifying new customers for PROFIT by Paymentus. This role involves partnering with Account Managers to demonstrate the value of the All-in-One solution, engaging with high-level business and technical decision-makers, and driving opportunities through the sales funnel. The position is integral to the Demand Generation team, focusing on account development and achieving performance targets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own ‘full funnel' development including fast response to interested prospects and moving them through the funnel to account opening.
  • Demonstrate sales strategy and leadership qualities.
  • Identify and build out partner networks.
  • Follow up on leads generated by the Marketing team and move them through the onboarding funnel.
  • Identify growing small businesses and potential partners that would benefit from PROFIT by Paymentus.
  • Prospect small businesses, educating them on the All-in-One financial platform.
  • Set up product demos to walk prospects through the platform.
  • Navigate conversations to uncover business needs and position PROFIT by Paymentus as a solution.
  • Maintain and update an accurate log of activity in the CRM system (Hubspot/Salesforce).
  • Hit daily KPIs across various touchpoints: Zoom, email, phone, and social.
  • Use email and cold calling to correspond with leads and confirm appointments.
  • Provide feedback and mentoring to others in the department based on prospect information.
  • Perform outbound activities and achieve monthly performance targets for opportunity development.
  • Create and execute account plans in partnership with SMB product owners.
  • Leverage internal tools and networking to drive new business.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to effectively implement marketing programs into assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in SaaS, Small Business Sales, or B2B Sales.
  • Prior experience in a similar role with a proven track record of sales in outbound calling and emailing.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate the value of PROFIT by Paymentus to various buyer personas.
  • A team-player attitude with a desire to improve internal processes.
  • A high sense of urgency that can adapt in conversations.
  • Experience working with Marketing Operations to strategize and optimize prospecting approaches.
  • Desire to learn and grow in a high-growth division while refining a career in tech sales and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed impact and activity quotas.
  • Customer service and relationship building skills are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using a CRM like HubSpot or Salesforce and/or platforms like Salesloft.
