About the position

The Sr. Applications Engineer at Advantest is a key technical role focused on managing customer projects from inception to completion. This position requires a mechanical engineering background and involves direct interaction with customers to assess their needs and provide technical support. The role also includes collaboration with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to drive product development and ensure customer satisfaction. The engineer will become a product technical expert, contributing to the advancement of semiconductor testing tooling design.

Responsibilities

• Technical management of new customer projects to completion.
• Determine customer requirements and application needs.
• Work with customers/designers on technical assessments, productizing concepts and validation.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to drive product development.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering; related engineering qualifications will be considered.
• 5 years of experience handling customers and semiconductor testing tooling design.
• Knowledge of test socket design is advantageous.
• Proficient in Solidworks & FEA Simulation.
• Experience with GD&T and performing tolerance stack up analysis.
