About the position

The Sr Sales Manager for Intermodal National Accounts is responsible for managing Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) and Shippers within the Intermodal business, overseeing an account portfolio valued at approximately $400 million. This role involves designing and marketing CSX Transportation services, executing strategic growth plans, and negotiating complex commercial proposals to enhance business relationships and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, market, educate and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to BCO Shipper customers across the U.S.
  • Create and execute strategic growth account plans by analyzing freight files and identifying intermodal opportunities.
  • Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT, customer organizations, and carrier partners.
  • Negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with relevant CSX groups.
  • Build new relationships with BCO shippers.
  • Perform miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance.
