About the position

The Tesla Energy Business Operations team is seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Operations Analyst to join the Global Business Operations team. This role is crucial in supporting local regional requirements and involves participation in various aspects of sales operations, order management, payments, and compliance. The Sales Operations Analyst will interact directly with numerous stakeholders in the Commercial Energy sector and collaborate closely with the Sales team on strategic planning and operational execution. This position is responsible for executive reporting and will develop and refine key reports and analytical insights that are essential for weekly order prioritization, delivery execution, and various business decisions. Additionally, the analyst will serve as the subject-matter expert for the Sales and Sales Operations functions within the Americas region, ensuring that all operations and business reporting are conducted efficiently and effectively. In this role, the analyst will be tasked with developing prompt, accurate, and insightful analyses and reports on Tesla Energy's commercial performance based on criteria and metrics approved by management. The analyst will drive the simplification and consolidation of reports, understanding user requirements and the business purposes of each report to enhance usability and practicality. The role also includes supporting ad hoc analytics and data refreshing using SQL and advanced MS Excel. Daily responsibilities will encompass processing all operational aspects of sales orders, including invoicing and refunds, and responding to order-related information requests from various departments such as Sales, Delivery, and Service. The analyst will ensure the quality of data recorded in CRM and other internal systems that support sales, production, and finance, and will investigate system discrepancies, working with program management to resolve any issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop prompt, accurate and insightful analysis and reporting of Tesla Energy's commercial performance based on set criteria and metrics approved by management.
  • Drive report simplification and consolidation; understand user requirements and business purposes of each report, improve usability and practicality of key reports.
  • Support ad hoc analytics, data refreshing using SQL and advanced MS Excel.
  • Perform daily processing of all operational aspects of sales orders, including but not limited to invoicing and refunds.
  • Respond to order-related information requests from Sales, Delivery, Service, and other departments throughout the organization.
  • Record information and ensure quality of data in CRM and other internal systems that support sales, production, and finance.
  • Investigate system discrepancies quickly and work with program management to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimal 3 years performing business analytics/ experience with Order Management and Processing.
  • High attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills and ability to adapt to frequent change.
  • Comfort working with multiple teams and colleagues from various management levels.
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, according to activity volume.
  • Customer service oriented and experience with Salesforce a plus.
